To help reduce viral spread when schools are experiencing higher than normal levels of illness, the CDC encourages students, staff, and parents to take the following preventative actions:
Stay home when you are sick., or have a fever over 100 degrees, rest and drink plenty of fluids.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing/sneezing, or use the inside of your elbow if a tissue isn’t available. Throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
Wash hands frequently with soap and water especially before eating.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth-germs spread this way.
Clean and disinfect surfaces or objects touched frequently at home, school and work especially when someone is ill.
Get a flu shot to help protect against the virus.
Avoid sharing beverages with others
